My name’s Graeme. I have 12 years agency experience working across many well known brands and have led, as well as collaborated on, many successful digital and omni-channel projects.

I am a master of Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. I give options backed up with rationale whether being data based, accessibility based or best practice based.

My Skills

In terms of software I am very comfortable with; the full Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, XD, After Effects and Premiere), as well as Figma and Sketch. Also been learning some Blender on the side.

I am embracing AI into my work flow whether it’s to speed up some Photoshop retouching or creating quick imagery to visualise ideas and concepts.

I try to master the design principles as they can be applied across whatever tool used.

  • I like to have rationale for every design decision. Focusing on how I approach certain briefs/problem statements. For example on start to finish website projects: Understand users. Define what’s needed. Ideation. Prototype. And finally test.

  • I have a lot of experience in UX as well as UI. Coming from working in smaller teams you have to wear many hats in the project. So I have created personas, customer journeys, site maps and wireframes, and then followed through with the UI stage focusing on the visuals and interactive elements.

    In my most recent role there was a separate UX team which meant I focused mostly on UI.

  • I have worked on many projects which require conceptual thinking and ideation sessions. I have done this individually, as a pair and also as a team.

  • I’m very good at adapting and working with new people. I’m great at building relationships with colleagues and clients quickly. This allows us to work towards our common goals.

  • Communication to me is key in any work environment if we want to create amazing creative work. I’m an advocate for daily check ins. I’m approachable. I am always wanting to help and provide value in my coms.

Experience

Upon graduating in 2012 I got my first gig as an intern in a Digital Agency called Positive Digital where I cut my teeth in the Ad/Marketing world designing Flash/HTML5 banners (oh how things have changed). After my internship I was hired full time which officially started my digital design career. I stayed with Positive for 2/3 years before moving on.

Since then I have worked for 4 other agencies; AMV BBDO, Good Agency, Three Whiskey and Cheil UK.

I have worked in lots of different team set ups and sizes. I have led projects, mentored juniors and facilitated workshops within these agencies.

Most recently I covered my creative director on the most recent Samsung flagship launch. I was signing off designs and artwork and storyboarding animations with the new products.
